Begin to Rise Above
Rising Above Therapy offers trauma-focused individual psychotherapy for teens and adults
I am a graduate from the Saint Michael's College Clinical Psychology master's program and I am currently under the supervision of Amy Dingman-Parini, Licensed Psychologist- MA as a pre-licensed professional in a solo private practice.
If you find yourself stuck in self-doubt, constantly criticizing yourself, feeling like you're never quite “enough,” or trapped in patterns that hold you back, you’re not alone. Navigating transitions in early adulthood like starting college, beginning a new career, or adjusting to changing relationships may open up old wounds, and you may be carrying the weight of earlier life experiences that still shape how you see yourself today. You want to feel understood, regain control, and find hope for a brighter future where your past no longer defines you.
If you've experienced emotional wounds, childhood adversity, or feel overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, therapy can be a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to heal. I specialize in working with young adults who want to better understand themselves, develop greater self-compassion, build a more grounded sense of self, increase self-confidence, and move forward from their past. My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I draw from psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences shape present patterns, and I integrate humanistic and cognitive-behavioral techniques to support meaningful, lasting change.
My goal is to help you discover your inner strength and support you in making meaningful changes that improve your daily life and relationships. I believe that healing happens in a space where you feel truly seen and accepted. If you're curious about therapy but unsure where to begin, I’d be happy to connect for a consultation and help you take that first step. I currently offer telehealth services to clients located in Vermont. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey of growth and resilience!
I’m Amanda.
